Build a Member Hub Page in the Shopify Customer Account

Once a store adds pets, reorder, preferences and rewards to the account, customers need a front door. A member hub is a landing page that welcomes them and points to everything else, in your brand's voice.

What a hub page is

A hub is a full page in the customer account with its own link in the account navigation. It works like a small homepage for logged-in customers.

A layout that works

  • A hero image with a friendly welcome heading and one line of supporting text.
  • Four or so feature cards linking to the profile, saved profiles such as pets, orders and previously bought products.
  • A short message below the cards, for a current offer or a reminder.
  • One clear button, such as Return to Shop.

Let your team edit it

The hub should not need a developer for every change. Expose the hero image, headings, card images, bottom text, button label and link as settings that the team edits in the Shopify admin. That makes seasonal updates a two-minute job.

Design tips

  • Keep it to a handful of destinations. More choices make it harder to decide.
  • Use clear labels rather than clever names.
  • Make images light so the page loads quickly on mobile.
  • Check contrast and keyboard access. See our accessibility guide.

Frequently asked questions

What is a member hub in Shopify?
A custom page inside the customer account that welcomes logged-in customers and links to the account features you offer, such as profiles, orders, reorders and rewards.
Can my team edit the hub without a developer?
Yes, if the extension exposes settings for images, text and links. They can then be edited in the Shopify admin.
How many cards should a hub have?
Usually four or fewer. Too many options make it harder for customers to choose.
